Big theory week as we move from completely “it seems like” to “this is what the literature supports” on the compression for irregular forms. Indigo led this work, grounding our compression approach in the materials-science literature and moving us from intuition to something we can defend from first principles. This has been a lively area of research since the 50s, but the direct application into custom compression garments like ours is quite undeveloped, so some math will have to be developed from scratch. Additionally, the integration of venous and lymphatic flow under compressive pressure into this model will be critical, and will need to be dovetailed into the rest of the model. Separately, Owen lined up a bunch of interviews with potential CMOs over the next few weeks to help us navigate our medical arm.
