Big theory week as we move from completely “it seems like” to “this is what the literature supports” on the compression for irregular forms. Indigo lead this work, diving deep into the material properties of solid composites, and how inclusions in that composite change the compression characteristics, specifically with the framing of compressing irregular human tissue around incompressible bone. This has been a lively area of research since the 50s, but the direct application into custom compression garments like ours is quite undeveloped, so some math will have to be developed from scratch. Additionally, the integration of venous and lymphatic flow under compressive pressure into this model will be critical, and will need to be dovetailed into the rest of the model. Separately, Owen lined up a bunch of interviews with potential CMOs over the next few weeks to help us navigate our medical arm.
